WTA 2011, the most prestigious tennis championships of the world will be held in Turkey this year.
World’s most prestigious tennis championships The WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) will be held in Turkey for 3 years with the sponsorships of BNP Paribas, a European leader in global banking and financial services, and its Turkish partner Türk Ekonomi Bankası (TEB).
The WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) is the global leader in women’s professional sport with more than 2,400 players representing 99 nations competing for more than $87 million in prize money at the WTA’s 53 events and four Grand Slams in 33 countries. More than 5 million people attended women’s tennis events in 2010 with tens of millions more watching on television and digital channels around the world. The WTA competitive season concludes with the WTA Championships in Istanbul, Turkey from October 25-30.
The WTA’s season-ending crown jewel – the TEB-BNP Paribas WTA Championships – will be hosted at Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul, Turkey for three years and will feature the world’s top eight singles players and top four doubles teams who will compete for the coveted title and a share of the $5 million in prize money.

Jamiroquai are coming to Turkey. The band will be on stage in 6 September. Beginning from their hometown, Jamiroquai gradually has became a well-known worldwide band and taken its place on various top-lists. The band combines house music with rthyms of 70′s. Despite the changes on members of the band, Jason Kay has always remained the same as a vocal and song-writer. The first single of Jamiroquai, “When You Gonna Learn”, was released by Acid Jazz in 1992 and got a real attention.
With the album “Emergency on Planet Earth” in 1993, Jamiroquai got the first place on top-list of England. The success of the second album has reached their fame till Japan; this means that the world danced with Jamiroquai.
